Selvitelle is our home in the hills of Cilento — and a small ecolodge with just two independent studios for adult guests.
Here, you have your own place and your own rhythm. Spend the day exploring Cilento, stay home with a book on your terrace, wander through the olive grove or simply enjoy doing very little.
We live here too. We are around when you need us, but otherwise leave you to enjoy Selvitelle in your own way.
Your own place
Both studios are fully independent and designed for two adults. Each has its own kitchen and bathroom, a private terrace and everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay.
The studios share a small front garden, while most of our 2.5-hectare property is open for you to explore. Olive trees, orchards, vegetable gardens and uncultivated corners all form part of Selvitelle.
There is no programme to follow and no expectation to take part in anything. Your time here is yours.
Living close to nature
Selvitelle is a place where people, animals and nature live alongside each other.
Our dogs and cats roam freely around the property, while our chickens have their own enclosed area. Depending on the season, you will see butterflies, lizards, geckos and plenty of other small visitors that are simply part of country life in Southern Italy.
Cilento also has a large wild boar population. Much of our property is protected by electric fencing, but you may occasionally spot a wild boar grazing somewhere nearby.
Nature here isn't arranged for visitors. It is simply where we live.
From our land & kitchen
What grows and is made at Selvitelle changes with the seasons.
Depending on availability, you may find our extra virgin olive oil, eggs, marmalades, fruit juices, freshly baked bread and other products from our land and kitchen.
Guests who would like to get to know us a little better can also join us for Social Dining. Usually on weekend evenings, you can book dinner at our table and share a meal with us.
It is not a restaurant and there is no daily meal service. It is simply an opportunity to eat together, enjoy good food and conversation, and perhaps experience a little more of everyday life at Selvitelle.
Your base for exploring Cilento
Selvitelle lies in the countryside of the Cilento hills. A car is essential.
From here you can set out in your own time to discover the coast, mountain landscapes, historic villages, archaeological sites and local markets. Many guests combine their days out with shopping or dinner along the way.
For larger grocery shopping, Agropoli offers a good choice of supermarkets, and there are plenty of restaurants within approximately half an hour's drive.
At the end of the day, you return to the quiet of Selvitelle.
Good to know
Adults Only
Selvitelle welcomes guests aged 21 and over.
Getting here
A car is essential. The final 50 metres from the public road to our property are along a well-maintained unpaved country road.
Swimming pool
There is no swimming pool at Selvitelle.
Animals
Our dogs and cats roam freely around the property. For this reason, and because of the animals already living here, guests cannot bring their own pets.
Check-in & check-out
Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out by 10:00. When occupancy allows, we can sometimes be flexible.
Linen & towels
For longer stays, bed linen and towels are changed once a week.
Cleaning
Final cleaning is included in your stay. We do ask you to leave the kitchen, crockery and utensils as you found them and to wash your dishes before departure.
Laundry
A small shared laundry room with a washing machine is available for guests.
Make Selvitelle your own
There are many ways to spend time here.
You might become curious about the olive grove or vegetable garden, ask what we are making in the kitchen, join us for dinner or simply stop for a conversation. If you are interested in what we do, you are welcome to ask.
But nothing is expected of you.
If your idea of a good holiday is spending a quiet week on your terrace, heading out when you feel like it and otherwise enjoying your own company, that is equally what Selvitelle is for.
