1. General Information
Ecolodge Selvitelle is a small, independently operated accommodation in Cicerale, in the Cilento region of southern Italy.
The accommodation is operated by Linda Daube as an affittacamere and consists of two self-contained studio apartments: La Quercia and L'Ulivo.
These General Terms & Conditions apply to reservations made directly through our website or otherwise directly with Ecolodge Selvitelle.
Reservations made through third-party booking platforms may additionally be subject to the applicable platform terms. Where platform-specific booking conditions have been expressly agreed, these take precedence over conflicting provisions concerning that reservation, subject to mandatory law.
2. Reservations and Confirmation
A reservation becomes binding when it has been accepted and confirmed by Ecolodge Selvitelle.
Guests are responsible for providing accurate personal information, contact details and the correct number of occupants.
The confirmed reservation specifies the accommodation, arrival and departure dates, number of guests, selected rate, total price and applicable payment conditions.
The minimum stay is generally three nights, unless otherwise specified during booking.
3. Rates and Included Services
All accommodation prices are quoted in euros (€).
The total price displayed during booking includes the accommodation and services expressly identified as included, including standard final cleaning.
Optional services, experiences, meals and products are charged separately unless explicitly included in the reservation.
Any applicable tourist tax or other mandatory charge will be disclosed before the reservation is completed, where required.
4. Payment Conditions
Standard Flexible Rate
For reservations made 42 days or more before arrival:
- A deposit of 50% of the total booking amount is required upon reservation.
- The remaining 50% must be paid no later than 28 days before arrival.
For reservations made less than 42 days before arrival, full payment is required upon reservation.
Non-Refundable Rate
Full payment is required upon reservation, regardless of the arrival date.
The Non-Refundable Rate is offered at the price displayed during booking and is not eligible for refunds in the event of guest cancellation or no-show, except where required by applicable law.
Payment Methods
Available payment methods are displayed during the booking process.
For bank transfers, payment must be initiated within 24 hours of booking, or proof of transfer must be provided within that period.
Proof of transfer does not constitute receipt of payment. Payment is considered received once the funds have reached the designated bank account.
Ecolodge Selvitelle reserves the right to cancel reservations for which payment obligations are not fulfilled, following appropriate notification and subject to applicable law.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
The following conditions apply to reservations made under the Standard Flexible Rate.
- 28 days or more before arrival: free cancellation and a full refund of amounts paid.
- 14 to 27 days before arrival: a cancellation charge of 50% of the total booking amount.
- Less than 14 days before arrival: a cancellation charge of 100% of the total booking amount.
- No-show: a cancellation charge of 100% of the total booking amount.
Amounts already paid will be applied towards the applicable cancellation charge. Any excess will be refunded. Any outstanding cancellation charge remains payable, subject to applicable law.
For Non-Refundable reservations, the full booking amount remains payable in the event of cancellation or no-show, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
Any refund due will be arranged through an appropriate payment method. For cryptocurrency payments, the refund currency, method and applicable conversion rate will be agreed with the guest before the refund is issued, without prejudice to mandatory legal rights.
Accommodation booked for specific dates is generally excluded from the statutory 14-day withdrawal right under Article 59(1)(n) of the Italian Consumer Code.
6. Changes to Reservations
Requests to change arrival dates, departure dates, accommodation or number of guests are subject to availability and approval.
Any difference in price will be communicated before the change is confirmed.
A requested change does not automatically cancel or replace the original reservation conditions.
Early departure does not automatically entitle guests to a refund for unused nights, subject to applicable law and any expressly agreed exception.
7. Arrival and Departure
Check-in is available from 15:00.
Check-out must be completed by 10:00 on the day of departure.
Alternative arrival or departure arrangements may be possible by prior agreement.
Guests must provide valid identification and the information required for mandatory guest registration under Italian law.
8. Adults Only and Occupancy
Ecolodge Selvitelle is an Adults Only accommodation, welcoming guests aged 21 years and older.
Children and guests under the age of 21 are not accepted under our accommodation policy, subject to applicable law.
Only the number of guests confirmed in the reservation may stay overnight.
Additional overnight guests require prior approval and may be subject to additional charges or occupancy restrictions.
9. Pets and Animals
Guests are not permitted to bring pets.
Dogs and cats belonging to the hosts live on the property and may move freely in designated outdoor areas. Chickens are kept in a separate enclosed area.
Guests are asked to respect the animals and their natural environment.
10. Nature of the Property and Accessibility
Ecolodge Selvitelle is located in a rural setting surrounded by olive trees, gardens and natural terrain.
A car is necessary to reach the accommodation and explore the surrounding area.
The property is accessed via approximately 50 metres of unpaved road.
The grounds may include uneven surfaces, slopes and natural obstacles. Guests should exercise appropriate care when walking around the property.
The accommodation does not have a swimming pool.
Guests with specific accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact us before booking to establish whether the accommodation is suitable.
11. Use of the Accommodation
Guests are expected to treat the accommodation, furnishings, equipment and surrounding environment with reasonable care.
Smoking is not permitted inside the studios.
Guests must avoid excessive noise and behaviour that disturbs other guests, residents or animals.
Parties, events and commercial activities are not permitted without prior written approval.
Guests must comply with reasonable safety instructions and respect the natural surroundings.
The accommodation may not be sublet or transferred to third parties.
12. Damage and Liability
Guests are responsible for damage to the accommodation or its contents caused intentionally or negligently by themselves or persons for whom they are legally responsible, excluding normal wear and tear.
Any damage or malfunction should be reported promptly.
Ecolodge Selvitelle is responsible for its own contractual and statutory obligations in accordance with applicable Italian law.
Liability for loss, theft or damage to guests' belongings is governed by applicable law, including the relevant provisions of the Italian Civil Code where applicable.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
13. Optional Services and Experiences
Additional services and experiences, including meals, breakfast baskets, cooking activities and other offerings, may be available by prior arrangement.
Availability, prices, timing and any specific conditions will be communicated separately.
Activities may depend on seasonal conditions, weather, availability of ingredients or other practical circumstances.
Guests must inform us in advance of relevant food allergies or dietary requirements when requesting food services.
14. Unforeseen Circumstances and Force Majeure
Ecolodge Selvitelle will make reasonable efforts to provide the accommodation and services as confirmed.
If extraordinary circumstances beyond reasonable control prevent the accommodation from being provided, guests will be informed as soon as reasonably possible.
Any alternative arrangements, refunds or other remedies will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the reservation.
Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Personal Data and Guest Registration
Personal information is processed for reservation administration, guest communication, payment processing and compliance with applicable legal obligations.
Guest identification details are collected and transmitted to the competent authorities as required by Italian public security legislation.
Required tourism statistics may also be submitted to the relevant regional authorities.

16. Complaints and Disputes
Guests are encouraged to report any problem during their stay so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve it promptly.
Formal complaints may be submitted in writing using the contact details published on our website.
These Terms are governed by Italian law.
Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction determined by applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection and jurisdiction rules where relevant.
